Birmingham Botanical Gardens visit

While I was home to visit my family I decided to visit the botanical gardens. As a teenager I was a member of the Alabama Bonsai Society and the meetings were held there. So it was interesting taking a trip down memory lane and feeling all of the emotions of that. Bonsai was a huge part of my life during those years, and it really forged and shaped my love for trees and plants in general. It has been a few years since I have been there, and I was taken aback at how stunning the Japanese garden was and is. I took a few pictures of some of the Japanese maples, which are some of my absolute favorite trees. Enjoy.
