Nice thread!

I grow lots of herbs on and off, I'm actually thinking of turning an old fish tank into a kitchen herb terrarium. The problem is no drainage, but i might just try big stones at the bottom, then leading up to finer then finally potting mix.

In the garden i grow hoya, frangipani, coffee arabica, jade and succulents, yucca, dracena and a few others here n there.

My hoya I think is finally going to flower, it has a really small stalk thing with a head on it. I have it in almost 4 - 5 hours of full sun per day.

I love bulbs. I have Amaryllis Aphrodite and two of Amaryllis Show Master (although I think it's mislabeled and it's actually Temptation) and Pineapple Lily Discolor Alba. I had many more Amaryllis, but since they grow quite big taking up lots of space on my windowsill, I got rid of them.
If space allowed, I would have tons more!
I am thinking of giving up on one of the two Temptation and get a white double flowered one, Alfresco.
These bloom once a year, but I just love how they grow leaves and how the bulbs get large!
and those large blossoms in the spring! love them!

Also, I have red orange colored geranium which is getting too tall and I'm thinking of cutting it down short a bit. It is non stop bloomer and makes nice little shade for other plants.

Then I have small plants of different kind.
Fuchsia, rosemary, basil (seasonal), venus Flytrap, tropical ferns and foliage plants with white verigation and spots (no idea what they are called), seasonal African Violet ( I love them but found that they are usually the source of thrips, and decided not to have any more after seriously thrip attack on my orchids. no more thrips now), Tuberous Begonias, Rex Begonias.

I used to have lots more but I found houseplants other than orchids tend to get spider mites easily and with my limited space with lots of plants, I usually get rid of anything that have bugs in fear of spreading to orchids.
Orchids are really tough after all I guess.

I always have gerberas and gloxinia in season. Lovely flowers! Some gloxinia get really big and impressive with all those fancy flowers clustered in the center of the plant.
I love hibiscus, but once they reach certain height, I give them away.
You should be able to grow ginger plants outdoor all year long living in the bay area. nice!

Oh, my late fall and winter must have are cyclamen. They suffer or die during the heat of summer here, but I managed to keep a few alive this summer and they are coming back to bloom now. yay!

I grow a wide variety of plants including aquatic plants. Here is a small list of my non-aquatic plants.

Rehmannia glutinosa
Jiao-gu-lan
lychee (seedling)
peace lily
zebra plant
staghorn fern
anthurium
tumeric
gotu kola
blackberry lily
thai basil
sweet basil
cinnamon basil
gardenia
passionvines (3)
clivia
lemon grass
Plumeria Aztec Gold

By the way leafmite, how are you growing your cinnamon plant? I'm interested in obtaining one.

lychee is my favourite fruit.
When I was a kid back in Zimbabwe, a neighbour had a tree that was at least 80ft tall - and as wide.
Have you plans for that seedling ?

I will put the lychee seedling in a larger pot very soon. It's health seems to be declining after two months. It doesn't seem to grow at all. It only has four leaves and sprouted in June. I think I'm on another rescue mission now.

Kevinator: looks like you like to cook a bit too, I grow a few similar herbs.

With the lychee seedling, do you grow it from seed or did you buy the seedling?
