Some Houseplants I love!
Default Some Houseplants I love!

Well, there are soooo many, I only wish I had unlimited space. Don't we all?

I am a sucker for blue and yellow, although I love all other colors as well.

I grew lots of African Violet in my older apartment because that was about the only houseplant that could flower in my north window(very large and bright though).

The first two pictures are of the same plant. I loved the blue color and even more for the white edge, but the subsequent blooms began to lose the white edge more and more everytime. How strange.

then I love tuberous Begonias for their large colorful and all summer long blooming! The issue is that they do not like the summer heat here. I would love to live on the west coast and grow lots of these!
I put some out for cooler temperature, but birds love to eat the leaves and flowers on my begonia. Well, I eat flowers sometimes too. Great for some salad for added color and rather spicy taste.

Callar Lilies!!! I love the yellow and deep orange ones. of course white ones too!

Blue hydrangea is my all time favorite too.
then some weird but fun looking carnivorous plants, Amaryllis is another passion. Of course, they are out of bloom now. Amaryllis pictures are from winter or early spring.

Shown here are Aphrodite, Alfresco, and Showmaster. My three favorites.

They are non stop given the right condition. Mine stopped flowering in the deep winter (not enough light in the north window) and in the middle of summer (too hot). Other than that, they were always in bloom. Amazing plants!
