Zephyranthes, Rain lilies
Hi all, I have been growing this since the fall. As some of you know, I haven't got any outdoor space to grow anything, so I tried my hand at these rain lilies. They are traditionally an out door plant, but these managed to bloom for me anyway. I reduce watering for a few weeks, then suddenly keep them flooded, and that seems to do the trick.

Wow, that is unusual that it bloomed this time of the year!
I used to grow tons of those (but white colored ones) and they always bloomed around late August without doing anything. bloomed continuously for about one month. I thought about growing them again. take up little space yet produce lots and lots of flowers.
They are not winter hardy here, so it's best to grow indoor, which is what I used to do with these.
Mine stayed every green and multiplied like weeds!
I think one important key to lots of flowers is the sun.
More sun, more flowers~

Zephyranthes, Rain Lilies
There are various kinds of Zephyranthes and they bloom at different times of the summer season here (Texas Gulf Coast). The white ones bloom around August here. I have several pink varieties in pots that I should have planted last year that started to bloom a week or so ago. With the rain we had yesterday, I should be seeing both the Zephs and the Habranthus blooming soon. Habs. are a related flower-all in the Amaryllis family.
These all are carefree bulbs, beautiful and fun to grow.
