I planted two cuttings of a passion vine (maypop) in the ground here last year. They grew nicely and covered a 5ft section of our fence, also put off a tremendous amount of fruit.. They died back during the winter and they have come back with a vengeance this year!! I can't kill these things! I'll be saving as many seeds as I can this summer, I'm going to try to get them to cover our entire fence. I'll snap a couple pics tomorrow of the passion jungle I have in they yard lol.

Heehe cool. That is something I have read - very vigorous growers! Bet that looks great on your fence!

As promised, here is my passion vine corner. The fence section they cover is roughly 4ft tall and 8 ft long. They have popped up everywhere around the fence and have started to cover the ground like ivy. The whole side of the yard is covered with the scent! You can see the bees busy at work as well. To say these are vigorous is quite the understatement!! Hope you all enjoy.

OMG!!!! Now that's a passion flower in full vengeance!!!! I have one as well but it's too "tropical" for my local. So I bring it in every year at first frost and let it slowly die back until spring. Here's my bloom-hope I'm not stealing your show by this post though.

No worries, we both hijacked this thread lol. I may try to start a few other varieties at some point, there are a ton of different colors.
Sonya, do you have any idea what species your vine is? I like the mostly white flower. I believe mine is Passiflora incarnata.
I'm curious to know if the other species fruits taste the same as mine do.

I'm not certain - just was given the few loose seeds. After looking online, I'm guessing it's blue passion flower (Passiflora caerulea), tho if it's a particular variety, cultivar or hybrid, I don't know.
While looking at these online, I discovered that the blue flower's fruit does not taste as good as the purple fruit. Guess I will have a taste when the time comes

Wow! What beautiful unique flowers! I don't think I have seen one before which is weird since my mother is such a flower and a gardener nut! I really want one now! All three flowers that have been posted look a lot different. Especially between Hollowpoint's flower and Sonya's flower. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to find myself a passion vine! The fruit is a bonus too!
