Default 9/11

Upon the 6th anniversary of such a tragic event, I would like to wish the best to everyone who remembers the day and memorializes the lives that were taken. A part of all of us died on September 11, 2001 and our lives will never be the same.
It's best to reflect on the goodness of all those who helped in the rescue effort and to pray for all the lives directly and indirectly involved.
People are truly at their best when faced with the worst and life is never so appreciated.
May We Always Remember and Never Forget!

I agree. No matter what country or part of the world we live in, there will always be some who want to take over our freedoms (or ways of life) and steer things their way. May this be a time to relect on that and hopefully the world will settle down to a more gentler time!

Thank you Dorthy, I was wondering if someone would bring up 911 today here on the board.
HTML Code:
People are truly at their best when faced with the worst and life is never so appreciated.
I was at my army unit today,(reason I had joined in the first place) and not out on the "streets", but was around 3pm and there wasn't too much comradity or patriotism going on and it does make me sad.....

could you forget, can your heart and emotions be desensitized after only a few years?

I just hope people still remember and I wish people would act the way they did those long months after the fact.
But Dorthy I thank you!

Candice, It is my strong hope that people will not forget and that they do continue to live life with the conviction that those first months afterwards gave them.

But... time does fade memories, I think, and it just may be too optimistic to believe that people won't get caught up again in the details of their own lives and forget the bigger picture (that is human nature, I fear). For example, how many people still remember even the date that the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima? Let alone take time out of their day to think on it?

Sorry, I don't mean to be depressing!

Thank you, Dorothy, for starting this thread so that we can all be reminded of just how precious life is. And how important the ideals of freedom and liberty as given in the Constitution really are. And we can remember all those who have fought to protect those ideals, and renew our will to keep them protected from anyone who would try to take them away.

This affected the whole world but...
anybody that was in New York City, Washington D.C. or Pennsylvania will forever have every moment of that day etched into their memories.

Even though we all remember 9/11 very well and were united in our ferver to get the people responsible, the memory of 9/11 has been perverted by our government in it's detour to Iraq. Every politician tangently connected to 9/11 wraps themselves in the flag and acts like they were so responsible for the courage of police, firemen and normal people on that day. That is the true obscenity of the memory of 9/11, and it's a shame.
Here's to a world without fear and the memory of the victims of 9/11........

May we always remember!!!! How can we forget? Such a tragedy. I wish the people ruled the world instead of governments. I think there would be much, much more love.
