Default Mistaken Identity

Apparently my neighbor thinks that the Tomato plants I just moved from solely growing under lights to the window for additional light are Pot plants. She just knocked my door to inform me that they are illegal to grow in Canada (as if I didn't know that) and the other neighbor has a brother that is a cop. She just didn't want me to get busted, as she had when she grew her pot in the window. I think I embarrassed her a bit when I said that I don't smoke or grow pot, that they are only Tomato plants.

Hmm.. I kinda think my next door neighbor is dealer, but I didn't expect the little old lady across the street to be growing it in her house.. haha...

Ha!! Thats funny. Imagine if you were growing something maple leaf like. Maybe a bonsai japanese maple. Hahahahaha!!

I swear, when I walk into my local hydroponics store, I feel like everyone in the area is thinking of me as a suspected pot grower. Oh well.

I once found small pot plants growing amongst the tomatoes at my parent's house. I suspect the gardener. Anyway, I ripped them out and showed my mom who professed ignorance. Really? Can people that grew up in the 60s and 70s really get away with saying that?
Of course, my girlfriend pointed out years later that they may have been there on purpose...

1) The "False aralia" (Dizygotheca elegantissima) was a houseplant often confused with pot.

2) I hope those tomatoes are nowhere near your orchids. Tomatoes emit ethylene gas as they grow, which will cause all buds to blast, and potentially kill your plants.

That's a great story! I used to have a pot plant on my windowsill (totally legal, welcome to the Netherlands) just because I love the shape of the leaves, and also the smell....

Your tomato plants are huge already!! I assume that they are not for planting outside? I only just sowed mine last week, since I can't plant them in the garden until mid may.

so those old folks can see that far from the street to your window??!!
i am sure they used a binocular or a strong telescope to snoop on you....

@Ray...thanks for that info...I was planning to do that futuristic instant tomato inverted growing I found online...I will just buy tomatoes then, instead of growing them
