Default Tea flowers

These are the blooms of tea trees. In north Taiwan, tea trees have been grown for more than one hundred year. Almost all hills here are suitable for the tea trees to grow.

Osmanthus fragrans is well known for its perfumed tiny blooms. The drying blooms somtimes are add to the tea to enhance the flavor.

I have a tea plant growing in a pot, currently indoors, so it was really great to see how they are normally grown. My camellia is still too small to harvest enough leaves for an entire cup of tea but the pretty leaves make it a very worthhile houseplant.

Neat to see how the plants grow! I drink tea everyday, but didn't really know what the plants look like.

In fact, it is a shrub and naturally, they can reach 2 meters tall. When they are grown in the farm, they are trimmed and about 3 feet tall. Although it is easy to see tea plants grown in farms here, we seldom grow them as garden plants.
