this is growing on my compost heap - I haven't a clue what it is, but it was more mauve a few days ago than it is now

Just a guess, Lepista saeva??? Does the stem look bluish? Any perfumed scents coming from it? Season for this is late fall to first frost.

I'm not sure about this either - mushrooms are so hard to identify correctly. It looks to me like it might be a cup fungus of some sort and perhaps you can check these out:

You might also check this guy out - he sometimes responds and sometimes does not, but he has helped me out a couple of times. The fact that you're in Europe might mean he's not interested.
