To say traffic in Delhi is insane is like saying the sun is hot. Much of the city smelled like an open urinal so fortunately the day time temps were around 70F and nights a cool 50 - 55. Other than that the city has a wealth of stunning architecture an places of interest. Some areas, like India Gate and Mahatma Gandhi's monument were closed due to today's Republic Day celebrations. All in all it was a very interesting trip.

Very nice photos! Delhi certainly is an assault to ears, eyes and nose! No wonder it smells like a urinal. It seemed everywhere we went, men were just standing wherever, urinating in public. It seemed like the concept of holding it till you get to a bathroom was unheard of

So are you home now? Glad you had a good time.

I don't go home until next Tuesday, thankfully, and I'm now planning a six week stay at the end of this year. The toilet problem is all through India. For some reason they don't/wont build public toilets although there are some at historical sites. The men were still having a flowing time of it when I was there, too lol.

I have ridiculous amounts of pics so if you want more I will most certainly post them for you.

Pictures are always fun! I loved the colourful saris of the beautiful Indian women. Were you in the Rajasthan area?
