Default Some blooms from house plants

Hi all,

I have these two very nice plants that propagate nicely. First Seemania sylvatica or Gloxinia sylvatica. I grew these from seed. I sewed the seeds less than a year ago and already they are in full bloom.

Second is a Plectranthus hybird, commonly called a lavendar, but its not really a lavendar. However both the real lavendar and this plant are both in the mint family.

I love the Seemania! What conditions do you give it? Similar to African violets?

I don't grow african violets, so I don't know what conditions they like. I grow it under a row of T5 lights, in a pot of some peat and regular soil mix. In fact, I just threw the seeds into what ever pot with soil I could find. I think that soil mix was created back when I was growing Jack in the Pulpits from seed. I have to keep up with the watering as it tends to dry out quickly. Other than that, no other special considerations. Oh, and I feed at least once a month with miracle grow.

Superb plants and photos, Tindo. Like that Gloxinia or what ever it's called now.

Lol. Sounds easier than African violets actually. I have a couple and their pretty easy but a little finicky at times. I love the vibrant orange of that Seemania though!
