The moat sure does look cool, but you don't need it any more. There are no bad neighbours to keep away.

So sorry to hear you've had such a difficult neighbor (to say the least) to deal with. I've had home owners associations to deal with but never a nasty neighbor like that. I guess some people think that the whole world is their enemy, or at least those in close proximity. If we had a neighbor like that, my wife would probably invite them over for dinner. She is a brave woman... and she can melt the coldest heart with her kindness. I try to be like her in that regard. Anyhow, congrats on the new place!

Congratulations... I've had some bad experiences too only with work instead of at home. I imagine it's much worse for you because I can come home and at least get rid of her for a few hours. I teach a high school activity and there is a mom that is absolutely unreasonable and will make up crazy rumors about me. I've thought about quitting and moving on a million times already but I can't stand quitting on the other kids. I'm very happy you have found your solution and are so happy to be starting anew... Good luck in your new place!

Congrats on finding a new place. Sounds awesome. You know RJ, on the upside, if he hadn't been such a D...bag, you might not have been inspired to find the new digs

Two months from now you'll sit back enjoying your orchids and smile. After all: you're the winner here. I live on the 4th floor and have some of my orchids on my balcony. My downstairs neighbor screams and storms upstairs to complain when a few drops hit his balcony railing. I haven't found a way to soak him yet, but I wouldn't be upset if it happened.

That kind is beat before they get started.. Its win win for me. Sometimes you got to leave people where they standing, bec they will drag you down with them.

I even have a MOAT around me now too!!!

You need a boat, to float on your moat.
