My dad lives about 6 blocks from that bridge. We can see it from his neighbors patio across the hall in his highrise. It's quite a sight!

Ever since I heard about it in the news while in Florida, I think about that happening everytime I cross a bridge. Being in Florida, land of a million bridges, and living in NYC, land of a thousand bridges, doesn't help. These sort of things further the loss of confidence the citizenry has for its government. Who is watching out for us? Really?

They wanna raise our taxes on gas in MN to fix the bridge/bridges. We're already paying almost $0.40 a gallon for said public service....
I think if we ought to have an independent autditor see that this money is actually being used on roads.

swords, they said on channel 4 WCCO that is was actually .20 per gallon right now...and it hasn't been raised with inflation. It has been at .20 per gallon since the 80's. Check it out. WCCO-TV - Minnesota's Breaking News, Video, Weather, Traffic and Sports
