thanks for all the kind wishes and sympathy - my left shoulder was a rotator cuff so I know that feeling! night time is the worst, I agree. I'm trying the PT method at the moment, with heavy duty painkillers, I still think the most humiliating thing about it is not being able to dress very easily.

Anyway, enough of my moaning, keep writing about orchids and I'll get better as fast as I can

thanks

heather

Hedge,
Thanks for posting symtoms of this sickness .I can't think of a get well date.
Here we got painkilling local herbal oils and now I am appling those and give herbal massages. Oils give relief some good results. actually what is the cause of this ?
Now my night time pains are gone and thanks for the oils. You know I got modified some of my dresses into front open system. All my dresses are now soaked with herbal oils.
My garden is full of results of 20 x20.

Been there, done that. It was some of the worst pain I ever experienced. I remember the humiliation of not being able to dress and having to wear different clothes. I finally had surgery. My only regret was that I didn't have it sooner. Still, it took almost a year to fully recover. Now I have better range of motion in the surgerized shoulder than in the other one!

Heather,
I can help you for your pains. I presume that there are Indian health drugs available in US. There are so many pain killer oils that can stop pain in few minutes. Try to get some of them. Sithdartha oil and Narayana oil are two names of those. Or you can just ask for an oil.
Do, not hesitate to apply because for ages we have used them. you will rub you shoulder with a hot towel and apply oil. Sithdartha oil is wonderful.
Hearher just try it out.
when some one had a broken arm or leg we never go to a hospital but go to a native doctor and ask for oils. And I am sure you can find what you call caster oil there. Can you get the plant over there? that is too helpful. Grind it leaves with seeds and make a ball of it and steam . wrap it with a cloth and massage you shoulder.you will sleep well.
Okay . Have a nice time!

Wow! Seems like everyone has been having shoulder and back problems. For me, it's my back. I have a herniated disk. I have had a cortisone shot and I am scheduled to go back for another on the 20th of the month. The first one was okay and did relieve some of the pain, but I think I need another. Between that and a pain reliever or two, I have been able to get along. I have found that flexeril works very good to help you sleep and you do not have to worry about addiction to anything. Other than that, I have been icing my back at least once a day.
