Well mine is an orchid too. I think I would have to be more specific and say that the Slipper orchids are really my favourites. Probably the Phragmipedium types with long twisted petals.

Well, orchids of course!
But other than those, I do have some favorite 'normal' flowers. My favorite fragrant flowers are lilac and lily of the valley. In the non fragrant ones I really like Hemerocallis.

You can if you store the bulbs in the fridge for a long period (can't remember how long). Much more work, and I suppose the flowers don't last as long in such a warm climate, but it is possible.

It would be impossible for me to pick a favorite. I'm fond of chids, that's for sure, but there are so many beautiful flowers. Variety is the "spice of life".

Angraecum sesquipedale, Rhyncholaelia Digbyana, phal. type dendros, blue vandas, Laelia anceps, Sophronitis coccinea, Phrag. besseae, and Renanthera coccinea; none of which I've had luck with BTW :/ oh well, I won't give up yet
