I just about killed mine--I think I kept it too wet and dark. It eventually started dropping leaves and now it's almost "bald." When I repotted it and found out it had a bad case of root rot. Speaking of fun sun, I'm wondering if it likes going outside? The only problem is that it's 100 deg today...in the summer it's usually in the 90s.
These are tropical succulents so outside at 90 ~ 100 is wonderful. I have mine out on the driveway along with all the other cactus and succulents and Cymbidiums just baking away in full sun all day long! They will drop their leaves when growing conditions aren't what they want but not to worry, given time they will grow new leaves. And, yes, don't over water and feed them.... they like food!

I killed one but I am growing one from seed and developed a fat trunk. maybe now it is 5" tall. easy to grow from seed, a lot of seeds on ebay.

I leave it on the roof and seems happy. I think they do not like to be indoors in the winter. Easy to lose when they are not in full sun. I am sure they are ok at 100 F, probably in the native habitat they face way higher temperatures.

Yeah! they grow real easy here. They must be hard to grow up north with the short summer. Nice job! This was one of my customers earlier this year.

Well I guess I'll just have to relocate sooner than I thought.... cuz I'd love to grow this as you have pictured! Then of course all of the other orchids and succulents could benefit from the sun and fun! Thanks for your picture.
