Our back yard

Thanks all. We've been at the lake and just home again to water the orchids and cut lawn etc. Our lot is actually 60 ft wide. Standard is 50 ft wide and there are those in old neighborhoods that are 35 ft. wide. My hubby does have a huge garage/workshop so some of the yard is taken up with that. We really enjoy the yard and its hard to pull away from it and my chids to go to the lake. But then when we get there, its hard to come home! We are lucky to have two great places and I am always grateful.

I need to have you come up and help me finish landscaping my 2 acre yard. I have done some things, but yours is just beautiful.

Thanks Jonada. 2 acres is a lot! Maybe landscape some of it and leave the rest natural? I went with a lot of perennials over the years and less annuals which helps cut the work load and expenses a bit.

I have gradually been putting in a few perennial beds here and there. Surrounded all the trees with hostas to cut down on the trimming and mowing. We have a decent sized veggie garden. I still have lots of areas to work with. I planted a few more trees as we have sandy soil so it can burn the grass off in no time without shade.
