Your doctor should be able to give you something to help out with the sleep. You shouldn't have to suffer like that.

I had a bad shoulder and couldn't lift my arm very much and finally had to go to physical therapy which I hated but it worked. Also if it is available swimming can be very helpful if your doctor okays it, and that is what I did after the PT and I think it was actually better than the therapy.

Well, it is great to have an MD among us.
I have the same issue with sleeping on my side. I have some crazy cervical issues with the disks in my neck. The whole arm tingling pain, down my arm to even my wrist. I have spondylosis and then just disk damage from a lifetime of riding horses and a motorcycle wreck.
I do not want to be on pain meds...but it is too the point that Tylenol PM is not working at all.
I can sympathize with anyone going through pain.
