After a hard and frustrating day I was losing myself in some meaningless plant maintenance - picking out dead leaves and old flowers, arranging pots, and just generally puttering about with my plants. Well, look what I discovered: tiny purple flowers on this guy!
I didn't even know this thing made flowers. I bought this plant because I liked the colorful leaves, but I don't know anything about it. It has a tag that claims it's a "polka dot plant" - that's all I know. I think I bought this at Lowe's maybe six months ago, but I'm not even sure of that.
Anyway, these happy little flowers have made my day. I love how they're just hanging out and doing their thing - no need to show off, and they don't seem to care whether I notice them or not.
