Beautiful pics Tindo!! Yup, it's not spring anymore. How about renaming this thread and just remove the word spring? That way we can just keep on posting what goes into bloom as we get into summer (and then fall)

Nice suggestion Camille. So much has been recorded on this thread already, it's already becoming a bit of a bloom diary of 2011!
Please Tindo!?

Thats not a bad idea. I'll just name it Blooms of growing season 2011. Thanks all for the input!

Great idea, I wondered what this thread was when I saw it on the posts! Name changing, now that's the power of 'The Moderator'

Part 2.
The first two are a couple of shots of my herb garden (including the artichoke which has some flowers coming up)
Then a couple of spiraea japonica which has the most beautiful foliage
The fifth picture is Sage
.. The rest, I don't know what they are, but they're pretty!

Beautiful!!
I love cornflowers. Funny that they have the same name in dutch: korenbloem. Don't know the name in french.
Me too I love honeysuckle, it smells wonderful! When I was little my sister and I would suck out the nectar from the base of the flowers, it tastes so sweet.
I'll take some photos this weekend of the things blooming up at our countryhouse!

Gorgeous pics!! The Spirea is so bright.
#6 is Hypericum, but don't know which species, can't tell from the pic. Aka St John's wort in English
#7 is Cosmos bipinnatus An annual flowering plant
#8 is a Campanula, but not sure which

Thanks Camille I should've known the St John's Wort, I'm kicking myself now! I also knew that Cosmos plants are planted by the man of the house on regular occasions, but I've never paid too much attention to them! As for the Campanula, I have no idea where that came from! (I reckon it was that man filling gaps again!)
Edit: The man of the house tells me that, had I waited ten mins for him to get home, he could've told me all that! He also tells me that the Campanula (or as he knows it 'Canterbury Bells') were planted last year - just goes to show that I must spend too much time with the house plants and not enough time in the garden!
