When in grade school we captured monarch caterpillars and kept them in an aquarium to watch them develope through the stages. One weekend they escaped and went through their change to chrysalis.....all over the room. Inside desks, on curtains, etc.

gulf fritillary -they prefer the passion vine almost exclusively and are usually found in the warmer climates.
