It is really odd here, the thermometer has been above freezing point but the ice on our side roads remains and is very difficult to traverse, especially on foot. Plus the end of the week is set to bring wind straight from the Arctic with more snow to fall on the ice.......
On the good side we went to buy our Christmas tree today, and got a beauty, if I say so myself.
The dog is not happy on ice, and the local greyhound rescue are recommending not to walk greyhounds for fear of them breaking a leg. As a whippet is a small greyhound I now feel guilty about having taken her out, but she needs exercise or she gets grumpy.
As for RJ's comment "cold front = is when you open the fridge in yer boxer shorts" - well, I always have a nice thick dressing gown, so that doesn't happen.
The new freezer is actually warmer than you are, Jonada.
How do you cope? Do the kids have to go to school in that sort of weather or do you live in a town/community big enough to have a school so that they don't have to travel too far?
