Default Tillandsia I.D.

Just picked this up because it was pretty, but don't know what it is called, or if it is native. It has blue ( tongue? )on the end. Can you help, Thanks

Tillandsia stricta.

Don't know which variant you own. There are tons of variants, and I never bothered to do much research on which variants have what traits.

The "blue tongue", are the actual flowers.

Flowers can be white depending on the variant.

Each flower has three petals.

The bright pink are the floral bracts.

I don't think they're native to Florida. They are found in Brazil though.
