Changed forum name in error.
I wanted to add my name at the bottom of my posts and when I added it, my forum name changed also. Can anyone tell me how to change it back? Thanks.

Umm... I didn't know you could change your username, didn't think that was possible.
What name did you have before?
I'll try asking Marty to see if he knows.

Rosie - Maybe I'm mistaken. I thought it was Cewal, which is what my name is on other orchid boards, but maybe not. It was so long ago when I joined this board, and I was inactive for a long time. I probably had brain fog.

As far as I know you need the help of an administrator to change your user name. Unless you stumbled onto a loop hole, if so, how did you do it??
I remember I had to ask Sue to change my name from Tindomul1of9 to Tindomul.
P.S. Welcome Back!

go to "user cp" on the menu bar at the top - then choose "edit signature" on the control panel menu to the left

Hi Minda...and welcome back
Only an admin can change your user name and I don't see "cewal" on the registry.
If you'd like me to change it for you, please let me know
Enjoy

I've checked with Marty and only administrators can change a username.
Unless you've found a loophole I think perhaps you must have had Minda anyway and confused it with the other forums. If you do find how you changed it let us know so we can pass it on to Marty

Thanks Sue, looks like my message crossed with yours, I was distracted by that horrid 'work' thing in the middle of replying
