I blame both you and a visit to Tatton Park for one of my latest garden purchases!
Had a large pot free and walked past this Rhododendron a few weeks back, the label caught my attention and it's just starting to open it's blooms. A hybrid called Red Jack, also hardy down to -17C apparently.
So I though I'd let you see.

Tindo-
On a side note, yeah I know old thread (but I didn't start it!). Here in so. cal I have seen some azaleas and the like grown like bonsai--fewer blooms but more compact size. Food for thought, plus it might feed the need for another addiction....

I went to the home depot and they were having a garden extravaganza! Tons of Rhodies, Pieris, Blueberries, and Heathers too.
