Hi friends! Well, I have worked for the last two years at the university in the town we live in for a certain department, which I have enjoyed, but I would really like to work 3/4 time instead of full time. I have approached my boss, but he is unable to allow that right now, so I am exploring my options.
One option of which I have applied invited me for an interview on Tues at 2pm. My question is, should I dress the part (skirt/nice blouse/sandles), or just dress my current office dress (capris, blouse, sandles)? I'm not certain as to the formality of this office that is interviewing me, so I can't make any assumptions that its like my current office. Not to mention that I can't "overdress" in my office because they may get suspicious.
On a side note, the new position already checked two of my references that I know of, so they've already done their homework before inviting me to interview. Seems weird to check references before they are serious about you, but I guess it saves them some wasted time interviewing someone who they looks good on paper but is really all fluff.
Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts
