It's a whole can of worms. Not something I'll get into here. My fault, letting my joke slip.

Are the ornipets the only lilies you have?

At the moment they are. I used to have oriental ,trumpets, and asiatic plus a few of the turks cap type species they are way cool....but now that they have crossed the orientals and trumpets to make the orinapets I stick with them have the colors from the trumpets and the scent and the form of oriental flower more open and star shaped and man I love them

I had one that was a incredible red and yellow a few years ago but gave thenm to a friend when I had to move ..but I did get a few small start back this spring it was realy great and blooms lasted at least a week as cut flowers and one would scent the entire house

where I live now I only have the tubs with anything growing nothing in the ground at all.

I love the turks cap! There were some beautiful ones on the grounds of the Marriot we stayed in at DC.
I will have to look into the orienpets- I like what you say about them having the trumpet color and scent of the oriental.

Would any of these do well in xeriscaping? We're planning to convert that patch of river rocks you see in the front door garden picture I posted. It gets really hot and sunny.

well I dont know Your in Co but what is your actual climate ...lol Co covers a lot of different kinds of climate and I know where My uncle lived cant remember the name of the place but it was a measa area and even though dry in summer in spring there they had lilies ...and I grew mine in a concrete planter thet was just a foot tall and about four foot around for several years ...I did have to water while they were growing fast in spring when it got dry but they did get pretty dried out at times in fact after they had finished blooming I would gradualy stop watering and it would dry out totaly between rains. The bulbs survived to come back in spring but they were not the best that way
