Some mangos germinate really easy. on some other forum saw someone growing one in the UK. I think the issue is that mangos do not take too much root pruning well. Many seeds from store bought mangos germinate easily, some they just turn black. If you buy mangos that have not been refrigerated it is better. YOu need to pry open the husk and get the seed out.

also regarding mangoes, you cant decrease the size of the fruit or the leaves, so the bonsai would have to be pretty big to get a proportionate bonsai

help,
Most commonly Habeneros are either Red or Orange when ripe (though other colours can be ssen). Usually when all the green has disappeared (green = not ripe).
Yours looks like it's close. Depending on how you will store it also effects when you should pick it. If it's going in the freezer, then wait till it's all changed. If it's going to be in open air storage then you should be able to pick it now, just remember to leave some of the stalk on it so that it will ripen up nicely.
If your not sure just leave it for a couple of days until a uniform colour.
Hope that helps.
And Stefano.... I'm jealous! What a wonderful way to spend the evenings.... We'd slide of our roof

That is annoying. Though like help says, it does look cool.
I was wondering, are window boxes possible for you? Just a thought.
