Anybody knowledgeable about cactus cuttings?

I found a columnar cactus growing wild, it looks like a pilosocereus nigrispinus and is about 3 inches thick and 5 feet tall. I would like to reproduce it by taking cuttings of sections of the stem. Does anyone have knowledge about this subject or can reference a web site? Thank you.
