Just some lilies I planted in a big tub this spring. Really did not expect much from them this year but they did well after waiting untill very late to come up

Thanks I did this one all pinks the base is a peach colored verbena hybrida and then the pink hemerocallas and oreintal lilies then after they finish I have double yellow daturas in it to bloom the rest of the summer. They are just reaching bloom size now.

I never have never had this much luck getting the oreinatl lilies to bloom the first year,they usually do a really slow start and dont do well untill the second year for me....I got lucky this year and got them as soon as they hit the store and they had not already started into growth in the bag.The lilies actually make their feeder roots along the stems above the bulbs so getting them after they have long shoots in the bag really sets them back.

Ok here it is with a few more open.....Like I said not the best it can be next year they will do much better

It is way more than I was expecting from them this year at all ...so cant complain at all.And they smell great too.

Well it's certainly inspirational. I may even give some lilies a go myself. Always thought about them, loved them etc. Now I think I should just give them a go
