Of course I'm the other side of the pond, but I had the same problem John. I overseeded a patch of grass and it got going and I could see new shoots in the bare patches. Then the weather went really really dry and I didn't think about it until I saw the new shoots were dying.

We have had some rain now (in fact it's been raining most of the day) and the watering I did once I realised seems to have saved some but not all of it.

Hope you get some rain soon!

Glad to hear you guys are ok, we really do worry about each other around here
Wish I could send you some of our rain John. Mother nature sent us her version of a pool over the last 4 days. The tomatos and dogs love it - But mommy is getting abit tired of mopping up the floor, lol!
Some of veggies won't be happy tonite though ... going to 10 degrees.
My grass is out of control - like to send you some of that too,LOL!

Peace & love all

When we got it yesterday, at first there was just a set of showers. Then around 5 or so, the actual storm hit, and it hit like a sledgehammer (wind, lighting, heavy rain, our yard looking like a marshland, power going out from about 6 to 9, etc). Now it is the optimal intermittent, yet firm and constant, type of rain.
