You can remove it and put it back in, see if that get the computer to recognize it. I have to be honest though, it didnt work for me, and the company suggested setting my computer back to factory settings, which I didnt do because I have a lot of programs that I can only get by begging for them from the university I work for. So I just bought an external drive on ebay, and I have dropped it, spilled stuff on it, man handled it, and it still works like a charm.

good suggestion ...I thought about suggesting it myself but LOl I just hate lugging a external drive around with a laptop,So was suggesting the try to remove and replace to see if if would show back up first.Would also be the cheapest fix if it works...
