Sue, it looks like two bushes from the difference in colors. Or is there some trick here?
Nice ones none the less. Thank God orchids did not evolve thorns.

 It is grafted
It's been planted for almost 2 yrs but they always bloomed either one color or the other until now...it's the first time both are blooming at the same time!  |

Or maybe the root stock sent a shoot and bloomed....
The root stock is usually not the same plant as the graft but one that has more vigor

Sue, try growing some of the antiques, a lot of the bourbons, tea, and china roses do very well here - without grafting.
To give you an inea I have a copper-colored tea rose that is grown to the top of and through a 15-ft mango tree.

 I leave the outdoor stuff to hubby  I'm so obsessed with the 'chids, all the other stuff barely matters 
Though, I'd LOVE to see a picture of that copper tea rose! Sounds amazing!!! |

Sue, To me, It looks like a peace rose. Sometimes it will throw off red roses since one of the parents to this cross is a red.
It's just beautiful, I love these. But so do all the grasshoppers around here  |
