Wonderful shots Tindo. I especially love #'s 6 and 7. What an interesting bird. We get Ruby-throated hummers at our cabin every summer. I have taken many photos over the years. I'll post a few when I get a chance.

Attached are a few of my hummingbird photos. The first two are a male with the red throat. But when the light doesn't catch it right, it doesn't look red. The last two are a female. I have some good ones of the males with red throat but they aren't stored on my computer anymore and no time to hunt for them.
They actually like my red petunias too that are planted in an old barbecue on the deck. I see them visiting the red blooms often, but haven't sat down and seriously tried to get them there.

beautiful photos Tindo, Silken Thanks for sharing them! I love hummers - don't have any good photos to post unfortunately - have some decent old ones (film) - my digital camera is much too slow to get pix of hummingbirds unfortunately
We have a resident species (Anna's) and a few summer visitors here (Allen's, occasionally Roufos and Calliope)

Looks like Jack had lots of action to watch! Thanks for posting the video. Nice to see so many hummers visiting your feeder.

hehe - yes, Jack really enjoys watching the hummingbirds! They also will check him out - hovering quite close to him (just out of reach) for a minute or so.
There's another small feeder around the corner from this one - there's a ton of hummingbird activity in the evenings!

Reviving the thread. I got some pics of a Ruby-throated Hummer and this is the one I like the most so far.
