We went to the Galapagos and the Mindo area in 2005 with my parents on a birdwatching tour with a group from the Lake Erie Nature Center in Cleveland.
This next trip will be an internship with Ecuagenera in Cuenca (I'm a full time student at the University of Minnesota currently). My trips into the woods will be more orchid-focused this time, but I'm hoping for some time near the feeders.
I've got some of my pictures up on Flickr if you'd be interested in taking a look.

I'm still working on getting them loaded up - it'll be a few weeks before I have most of them on... One of the really good hummingbird days is posted.

I got lucky again!!! I went to the New York Botanical garden (a GREAT birding place by the way) this Saturday and took some pictures of a female ruby throated hummer feeding on some jewel weeds.
I was actually there on a plant field trip and every time I switched my camera lens from the close up lens (for plants) to the zoom lens (for birds) this little girl would zoom away, until finally I got her.

Wow! Their work is amazing. I'm familiar with it from many trips to Monteverde, but I've never met them, and I didn't realize they worked in so many different places. Thanks for the link.

Cool, I had never heard of them and an internet search for the plant genus Cavendishia brought me to their website. Cavendishia being the plant the hummers are enjoying, as well as Macleania.

Hi guys, just wanted to reawaken this thread. Went to Antigua at the end of July begining of August and got two species. The Green throated Carib (which I also got a picture of in St. Croix last year) and the Antillean Crested Hummingbird.
