The last of my hummingbirds left 3 days ago. Sad to see them go.

We are blessed with species that live here year-round. I normally fill the feeder outside my kitchen sink window at night so as not to disturb their feeding, but it looked empty this morning. They've been reminding me the feeder is missing from the first minute.

So cool. love the hummies. Did you see my video on the previous page? I was standing next to them filming. Sometimes they jump on a feeder as I am moving it to refill

Just watched it. Great! What a flock!
Sometimes if I am gardening in the front and the feeder is dry, they come up to my face and chirp their displeasure. I go fill the feeder. As I am leaving the door they fly right up and eat from the feeder as I carry it and set it in place.

The Hummers are here in NYC. Here is pic of one at the New York Botanical Gardens.

Very cool! I am surprised they are still there right now and haven't migrated down.

This picture was taken last Sunday. The recent storms may have made them leave or trapped them here. I'll find out soon enough.

Sometime in the past few months I saw a slow-motion video of a hummingbird tongue in action. It is beyond amazing. I can't describe it; try and find it and watch.

Saw my first hummingbird in my area yesterday. Looking forward to a big flock this year. Going to try and make a new video at the peak.
