My mom is the clivia queen but she used dirt from the outside. LOL ..
The first article tells about medium.
The others are very interesting.
I never knew a clivia was an amaryllis!

Good luck!

My clivia's stalk always seem to be stunned but it still get a beautiful fan of flowers.
Hey Tindo .. this is what you may end up with
Anyone interested in obtaining one of these .. I have quite a few babies ... PM me or email me

Hey Dorothy...my clivia are now moving into full speed bloom as well, and I too have had them with very short stalks in the past...usually (I have found) increasing the water when you begin to see stalk formation will correct this problem. If you catch them before the blooms open, move them somewhere with a bit more light and a bit warmer...and give them a good watering.
Yours looks beautiful! Do you grow many of them?
Adam

Default Clivia Galore!

Hi Adam
I have over 20 plants all inside right now .. I didn't get to count how many babies but there are plenty. I have some plants potted with babies growing beside them besides the ones separated this past fall. They reproduce like crazy!
