I was trying to open another Orchid Forum (not sure if I'm allowed to mention the name) and all I get is a message that it was hacked by Aseroh followed by Arabic characters.
My question, does this jeopardize forum members personal info; email address...?
the site is orchidgeeks.com
in theory, they have access to all the information stored on the site, including e-mail addresses of all members, and possibly mailing addresses of any member who donated through paypal, as well as the contents of any private messages sent through the site.
they could also wipe the entire site if they wanted to, but it can probably be restored from a backup.
That's creepy in an odd sort of way... I really hate people who do stuff like that. Luckily I'm not a member of that forum, but I sincerely hope that no one who is is negatively affected by this.
I did a google search and found the following post from another site, from January 2009. There is hope.

Earlier today I realized this blog had been hacked. Bummer.
I should be pissed, but I’m not. Truth is that if a door is left open something of this sort is ought to happen. Mr. ASEROH was kind enough to deface the site but left the Databases unharmed. He proved his point, caused no major harm and I’m humbled.
I wonder about problems as well. Especially e-mail and pay pal.
That's one of my main concern also. I get so paranoid because somebody was able to get my eBay info not too long ago and purchased $4000 worth of merchandise from an international vendor and changed my shipping address to his/her address not too far from where I live.
