Truely truely horrible, It's so sad to see what kinda world younger people and the rest of us have to live in at times.
So many students under so much pressure to do well.
But I can not get with the fact that is was only school pressure, something was wrong long ago in this persons mind. Deeply embeded troubles before any of this went off.

1 Of the students reported on CNN that someone was laughing in the hallway while the shooting was taking place. I could only gather it was the shooter.

I don't understand why in hell the school didn't shut down after the first shots were fired, it doesn't make any sence.

This is such a tragedy and serious gun control needs to be put in place!!!!

A young man I've known all his life and has parents who live up the road from me teaches at Virginia Tech. I thought about him all day yesterday,but didn't want to call his parents too soon,as they undoubtedly were upset. I called this morning. He had gotten in touch with them and was all right. He had been in the building next door,300 feet away from the slaughter.

Although the university will be closed down for the rest of the week he is going right back to work. Something to keep his mind occupied. What a disaster!
