With my little plant (which I think is a smaller hybrid of some sort), I just cut a leaf and squeeze the gel out.

Been using it (minimally) on/in my cat's ears that just went through a bout of ear mites. Funny how she calms down when she realizes that it actually feels good.

well I had another go at it - went out armed with a small syringe and a small medicine dropper. Barely touch the bloom and it oozes a good deal of clear liquid. So - maybe mines just boring in the nectar color department ... ?

hehe - of course I did! slightly sweet. Rather like the sugar water I put in the hummingbird feeders.

It's great for neurotic birds that pluck themselves as well, since it's bitter.
And basically any ouchy on most pets.

yeah - it's good for lots of skin issues

I LOVE bitter apple. It's saved many plants and many kitties in my house.
And a dog that eats any toxic plant he can get to.
