As Susie said - "addictive personalities" I completely agree. I can't seem to just like something a little bit without becoming full-on obsessive eventually.

I'm particular (read picky) re: just about anything.

Shoes
Clothes
Tea (just starting the addiction)
Pens
Paper
Notebooks
Books
Purses
Orchids
Body care products--only organic.

needless to say, I need a bigger salary or marry someone rich.

Hubby buys his beans and roasts them in our driveway. You can smell it for miles.

Not a much of a coffee fan but I am particular about my chocolate. Needs to have a high cocoa content and good smooth texture. Can't enjoy the cheap stuff anymore (particularly abhor cheap milk chocolate *shudder*)... tastebuds have "matured" I guess.

I roast my own, too. The roaster I have is called a "Behmor 1600" and it's supposedly smokeless (although I will have a little wisp here and there). A whole lot less smoke than other methods, though.

From what I've heard, Kopi Luwak isn't the best coffee out there - just the most interesting harvesting method. If I'm going to spend that much on coffee, it better be award winning!

I'm also picky about my chocolate - I eat whittaker's 70% Dark Ghana or Lindt 70% dark.

Lucky for me my Other Half doesn't eat dark choc so I don't have to share

I have a cousin who is a connoisseur of coffee ... he has it down to bean type, temperature, timing and such ... he makes the best cuppa I ever had!
