Junebug, that's not the spirit that won Waterloo. Keep a stiff upper lip.

In case anyone has not seen it, Marty has commented on another thread about this that he thinks it may correspond to times of day when certain scripts (such as the back-up) are running.

He wants people to keep a note of times of day they have problems and then let him know.

Some days are worse than others for me. Like today, it didn't happen once (and I visit the site several times per day). When it does happen, most of the time hitting the refresh button does the trick. If it doesn't, I hit the back button and go back to the page from there. If that doesn't work, I have to close the browser and re-open it. Yes it's a pain, but that doesn't happen too often to me. I always highlight and copy anything I'm in the middle of typing before I close the window, so that when I go back I can simply paste it in and continue from where I left off.

This has happened to me from time to time here. Haing been in server software support, these type of things are very hard to track down and can eat up a great deal of a persons time. The only reliable way to work on it is to create it yourself or find some evidence of it in logs. I just close my browser and start over. Until it is fixed you may always want to have OB open in a separate window.

I can say I have not seen it since I started using Chrome. It happened quite often when I used Firefox but this may not have anything to do with it.

A black page with an OB logo was all I could get while making several attempts to log on to Orchid Board this morning. Finally I did a general orchid search and then clicked on a vivarium website. On the site was Marty's Mist King advertisement and another for OB. After clicking the OB advertisement I was immediately directed to the "sign in" home page of OB. Whew, that was a lot of work, but I'm relieved.
