Teas Nursery in Houston closing

Well, I bid my farewell to Teas today. They are closing on the 13th. So many bargains to be had. I got a large bag of orchid bark, hangars, vanda baskets, pots, cork mounting material, tree fern fiber and some plants. They still had a bunch of mostly NOID orchids that I imagine someone could offer $25 for and take them all.
This nursery has been in business for a very long time but due to (I don't remember) either the death or poor health of the owner and lack of interest in the family, they are closing. This was the place that if you wanted it, they probably had it.
We still have some smaller nurseries that have the unusual but they are smaller with a limited selection.
It was one of these places where you could poke around in for a long time with something new to see at every turn. So, farewell Teas.

I well remember Teas from the years we lived in Houston. It was our favorite nursery and we always stopped there if we were in the area. Sorry to hear they are gone.

aww wman I too have been to Teas several times in the past but way before I had the courage to get a chid...

I live just far away from Teas to not be able to go there very often, but have gone quite a few times over the years. I always try to stop by when I'm in that part of town. I hate to see them closing.

That is a real bummer! Teas was a good place to visit when in Houston. I hear that Palmers orchids is closing ,too!! Diane
