Default Passion Flower in bloom - Passiflora Incense

I just bought a Passiflora 'Incense' (incarnata x cinnicata) off eBay, as a fall discount plant. I needed to replace my Maypop P. incarnata plant that got accidentally thrown out during its winter dormancy, which I grew on the patio. Passiflora 'Incense' purfumes the whole room. I love the frills!
I'll have to grow it indoors for now because its not hardy here, or give it a dormancy in the garage. Anyone grow passion plants indoors?

I just found out on google that plants of this cross may all be virused, either with Cucumber Mosaic Virus or Passiflora Latent Virus. It doesn't affect the plant too much so it remains in cultivation. Don't know if mine is affected, but i'll have to be careful. Remakes of the cross were done that are virus free.

Cool, I just love those flowers.

One of my neighbours has a Passion Flower growing up the fence on the far side from our garden. If's covered in flowers every year and then you see all the fruits forming later in the year.

Theirs is hardy, but while we get snow here I guess it doesn't get as cold as it does for you in Canada.

I have a 7 year passionflower, it has lovely foliage buy it's never flowered, this year was it's first outside in the summer(we get snow here) and it's growth burst with the addition of repotting aswell. I just bought a new plat already in flower in hopes of encourageing the first to pop out a bloom, if not, it's ok,I enjoy green foliage just asmuch as pretty flowers

That is absolutely beautiful! I had a 'Maypop' that was doing well its first 2 seasons, then it began to majorly wilt. Plenty of water, and close inspection revealed no buggy pests. By the time I figured out that a mole had tunneled under it and the roots were dangling in the air with no soil and totally dry, the poor plant was beyond recovery. Would like to get another one, but haven't replaced it yet. Yours sure is pretty. Maybe will try again in the spring.

I've had this passion flower for 3 years (have wintered indoors, dark/cool/dormant). I put it outside after our last frost in the spring and bring it in late fall. I love it, but I think I've made the tough decision this year to pitch it as I'm running out of room, not sure how that happens in a home the size that I have!!!Anyways, took cuttings from it a week or so ago and trying to get some roots. We'll see, maybe I'll break down and winter it again. Love the flowers on yours smartie, they are so different.
