Hi Joe,
I really appreciate you letting us know about Mike...I was wondering where he was. Please give him my best and let him know he is in my prayers as well.
And tell him I finally posted the pics from our hike together...maybe that'll help spur him into a speedy recovery.
Peace, David

Definitely sending prayers Mike's way.
Though I've only been on this board a short while, I really do need to meet some of it's local members. Not too many folks I know that share my affliction with orchideliriums.

I don't know how to say this without sounding cold or without getting emotional. I have tried to write this several times today. So here it is. Mike has been diagnosed with cancer. It started in his kidney and has spread to his lung. He will not take chemo and wants to leave. He has planned to go to a place in Mexico called Oasis. I looked it up online and it looks like a great choice. I visualize him making a full recovery, returning healthier than ever, going snook and redfishing in the 10,000 islands and hunting for ghost orchids in the fakahatchee swamp. Please see him in a similar way.
PS.I took him a printout of your prayers and comments. He smiled really big.
Peace

Thanks for making sure Mike knows his friends here are thinking about him and sending him all the best wishes.
I like what you've visualized...I'm with you
What Cancer Cannot Do
Cancer is so limited....
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.

God bless Mike and his family

It's o.k. to get emotional. This is heartbreaking news. I'll continue to pray for Mike's full recovery. I respect his decision for alternative treatment. Drugs and invasive treatments have a history of even further weakening the body.

This is terrible news, but my prayers for his full recovery will go on.
He has to go with the type of treatment he will feel happiest with, those invasive cancer drugs are terrible things in their own right.
My prayers will be with him and his family

This is so heartbreaking. Mike, if you read this, I'll pray for you and your family.
Thinking about you, all from the Netherlands.
