Well i'm not shy about my age ,pushing 62 my love of plants started at 5 and has continued to this day. And when I do go to that orchid house in the sky one day ,i have told them to bury me standing up and to plant a yellow wood tree on my head

Was it "You're Only Old Once" by Dr. Seuss? I have that book, got it in 1987 for my birthday. I was 7 when I got it, so I'm kinda confused about that!

How many older growers ? Female
Default 60 plus

I just turned 61 and just started my collection about 4 years ago. Wish I had discovered orchids sooner but then maybe I would be really broke!

I'm just shy of 60 by 2 years, so I guess I'm considered a young pup on here????? Been growing orchids for 4 years now. My wallet is always empty and I don't even have a greenhouse.

Hmmm. What do you want here, an age bracket??
I'll just say that I'm past 70 and have been growing for almost 25 years. I hope I'm not the only senior on the OB!!

Shirley, if it is any comfort to you.......I'm way past 70, how about 77. I suppose I am almost the oldest member here.

I think it would be interesting to have a pole of ages.... 20 and over, 30 and over,..............

Marilyn

I'm 57 but have not been growing orchids all that long. I've had a few off and on for 15 years or so. I'm getting fairly serious about it now that I'm retired but I have GOT to quit buying them. If I keep it up I will have to begin eating them.
