Impersonator
This is a Tersa Sphinx Moth. My daughter noticed her hanging on my screen door last evening and, of course, I had to get the camera. When in flight these moths look very much like a Hummingbird, hence the nickname 'Hummingbird Moth'. It was pretty large...about 2 1/2" tall with a 3 1/2" wing span. I had seen one from a distance but never up close. After few photos it flew over to a clump of Mexican Petunias. This is where it usually hangs out.
