A couple more cactus

It must seem to some of you that I should really be on a Cactus Board instead of an Orchid Board, but that's just what's happening for me right now. More bloom action in the yard than in the greenhouse. Oh well, there will be more orchid action for me as we move into autumn and winter.

First a mammalaria (probably microcarpa, but there are some similar species around here). Bloom is about 1/2 inch across.

Then a Fish-hook Barrel (Ferocactus Wislizeni). Next to it's big brother (about 4 feet tall), then just the bloom. Blooms are about 2 1/2 inches across.

These are all "rescued" cacti from when I extended my back yard wall. I also have other "rescues" in the yard from various construction sites around the area.

We all grow what we like, and I see why you like your cacti. Great blooms, I like the last one the best.
