Default Tillandsia xiphioides on a trip to the woods

I noticed a little white bud peeking out of the sheet when I was packing for a trip and decided to take it with me since it blooms every other year and each flower lasts a little over a day. You can imagine the kidding I got once I unpacked. I hung it outside my cabin window and woke up to the buzzing of bumble bees and delicious scent in the morning as soon as the flower opened.
