My welcome garden tenant
Saw this little guy hanging out around my orchids in back yard today

Cute little frog! We also have mainly toads here, and some of them are quite big. If we go outside in the evening in the summer, we have to be careful where we walk, there are always a few toads out.

Just make sure he's not a Cuban Tree Frog...they eat all the other frogs, lizards, etc
I don't know if they are outside of Florida but here's some info:

This is not a Cuban Tree frog but I really can't place it. It may be one of the Pacific Tree Frog morphs but I'm not all that familiar with West Cost Frogs. Nice to have around regardless. I have 4 or 5 species of tree frogs here and many other frog species as well as toads. I love to here them when it rains. The only thing is they like to nestle down into pots during the day and disturb some plants. But, everyone needs a place to sleep!

Yikes!
I don't think Cuban tree frogs have made it to Callifornia yet! This guy looks like the tree frogs I have alway seen around here which I believe to be Pacific tree frogs.
Pseudacris (=Hyla) regilla - Pacific Treefrog, Pg. 1
I occassionally find them chilling in the flower bed or cym pots - I guess its a cool shady place to stay during the day.

That one looks like the Pacific Tree Frogs I used to have in my yard when I lived in N. California. I'd find them by the dog's out door water dish in the morning, or in the sprinkler control box, set about a foot down in the flower bed. Cooler there for them. Carol

Yeah - I love the frogs. there is a creek behind my house so I know there are lots around still but don't see them like I used to before the area was so developed. Always happy to see them.
